NIFT Placement cell facilitates on campus placements for graduating students of NIFT to enable them to start their careers in challenging positions. Leading national and International apparel companies vie with each other to recruit NIFT professionals. The star employers of NIFT professionals in the past from the International Market have been Benetton , C&A , J.C.Penny , Jockey , Levi Strauss , Nike Inc. , Texmaco Garments etc. Leading International Buying Houses in India like GAP , Li & fung , Tommy Hilfiger , Triburg , Colby , Impulse-Next etc. have been regularly offering key decision making positions to our graduating students. Finally for Indian bigger ompanies almost all specify it clearly in their website or recruitment journels that only Graduates from NIFT and NID ( National School of Design , Ahmedabad ) are eligible to appear for the interviews for certain concerned positions and no other design schools in India.

NIFT has professional alliances with Fashion Institute of Technology , New York ; Nottingham Trent University , UK ; and Royal Melbourne Institute of Textiles , Australia , which helps NIFT Graduates to further Increase their grasp on Fashion after passing out of NIFT , if they so want.
NIFT has entered into MOUs with various member Institutes of IFFTI ( International Foundation of Fashion Technology Institutes ) . Some of the prominent ones being Hogeskolan I Boras , Sweden ; Birmingham School of Art & Design , UK and RMIT , Australia etc . This is to cater to a long felt need of the students to have an opportunity to study in premier schools abroad , even on scholarship fee payment basis , for NIFT students who prove to be bright enough. |
